Learning things (or at least getting a possibly new angle to ponder) is the primary reason why I read this blog (plus some of the links in the sidebar and the music/art).
Plus, it has emboldened me to speak out a bit more (on the places left where I haven't been banned) -- I'm losing "friends" at an astonishing rate (and they are getting quite nasty indeed -- down to personal attacks and slurs against family members since they discovered that was the only way to get a rise from me), but in the process it taught me who the people were who really wished me well and/or could handle a different opinion...and that's an invaluable gift right there ;)
